Probate and Estate Administration

When an individual dies owning assets in his or her individual name, the assets must go through Probate to be properly distributed to the individual's heirs or beneficiaries. If you have a valid Will, it will be admitted to Court and will serve as directions for the administration and distribution of your assets.

If you do not have a Will, Florida Law will govern the distribution of your assets. Probate is a costly and time consuming process which can be avoided through various planning techniques including establishing a Living Trust.
